Day 6 - God will make a way
Yesterday we had a general employee meeting. Unfortunately there was no good news. Will all the hard work we've done for the past year it seems everything was taken for granted. No bonus for us :( We have so may new additional big clients and I knew we did well but management did not acknowledge it.

We I got home, so many things are running in my mind. I feel so down and sad. Just spend time listening to my ipod. Everytime Im sad I always listen to this song. - God will make a way.

Day 3 - Dennis
Justin still have fever. He doesn't want to drink his medicine. He ask me to give him a surprise if he drink his medicine. I have no choice but to bribe him with a new Thomas and friends train. It's a good thing that I still have lots of stocks at home. I gave him Dennis. He is so happy to have Dennis as an addition to his collection.
*Of course I get to shoot it while playing with him.

Day 2 - Billy
My son Justin is sick last night. He had a fever and experiencing LBM. Everytime he has a fever, his eyes will turn red spots will appear on his skin. Some say that it's the effect of calpol but we have now evidence that it is the cause.
To cheer him up, I gave him a new Thomas and Friends toy. And its Billy! he loved it so much because billy is different from other engines, Billy have teeth. This is a new addition to his collection of Thomas and Friends die cast toys.

Day 1 - My new toy
Got this with my Canon 60d. It's a Canon 4gb USB drive. Ever since I saw this in the market I always wanted to have one. Unfortunately they don't sell it. Glad that it came free with the Canon 60d my wife gave me last Christmas.

I'm Back!!
I've been so busy with so many things for the past year. No more time to blog and practice photography. Last Christmas, Michelle gave me a Canon 60d. Yes a canon 60d which is my dream camera. Since I sold my Canon 450d early last year, I missed it a lot. Now that I have a 60d I would like to go a little serious with passion which is photography. I would like to learn and practice everyday.
I decided to make a comeback with my blog because I will be posting photos here more often to see if my photography skills would improve.

Im a father
Last October 7, 2008 at 7:29pm I officially became a father. Michelle gave birth to our first baby boy Justin Maven Lee. It was a normal delivery with a help of forceps. Justin was 6lbs when he was born.
I cannot explain my feelings when I first saw my baby. The happiness is so much which words cannot explain.

Sharpening Photos
I been palying around with photoshop on how to sharpen image. I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Until I found this tutorial from Pipho which was shared by HartSord (thanks!).
Heres his steps in sharpening images.
1) Convert to Lab (Image>Mode>Lab)
2) Load lightness as a selection (Alt-Ctrl-1 on a PC)
3) Invert the selection (Shft-Ctrl-I)
4) Select the Luminance channel (click on the channel tab, click on the L channel)
5) Apply USM (Amount 300-400% for high-res images, radius 1px, threshold 2. For lower-res images, use a lower amount)
An additional step for more punch:
6) Still with selection active, apply USM again (Amount 50-60%, radius 20-30px, threshold 2. For lower-res images, try amount 20-30%, radius 5-10px, threshold 2)
Here is the result

My first published photo
I'm so happy to have my photo published in a magazine for the first time. I joined a photo contest with a theme of "Color Burst". I'm surprised that I was chosen as on of the winner in the contest. It was published on i-mag photography magazine issue number 17.
I never expected that I'll my photo will ever be published in a magazine. It was really a dream come true for me. (ang babaw ng kaligayahan ko noh) I'm not a good photographer but I really wanted to explore and learn photography. Just want to share my photo. This photo was taken using my Canon S3is.

Goodbye to my S3is
Seeing beautiful photos on the internet got me interested with photography. I started exploring photography last June 2006. The camera I purchased was a Canon S3is. For 2 years I've enjoyed using this great camera. I have it with me everytime I travel. Here are some of my personal favorite photos which I took with my S3is
